JS8255-B BOARD is a general-purpose 16-bit ISA (Industry Standard Architecture) PC interface board which uses two 8255 chips. It has six 8-bit I/O ports. The user can use them as three 16-bit ports or six 8-bit I/O ports. Real Standard 16-bit access is 2.5 times faster than 8-bit access and 1.73 times faster than fake 16-bit access (by chipset). JS8255-B BOARD has an 8254 counter chip in which there are three 16-bit general-purpose counters. Output of 8254 can be connected to PC hardware interrupts. The user can select one interrupt among five interrupts with the jumper (or jumper block). The user can choose one of four addresses for thee JS8255-B Board. This board can be used to control an electric signboard, facilitate data transmission between two PCs, control a ROM writer and/or ROM emulator, control a simple logic analyzer, stepping motor, DAC/ADC and so on. |
